Angels & Heroines

When I really get pulled into a book, it will have a strong female protagonist. They may need help from other people to find resolution, but they don't whine, they don't cry and they don't say "Oh, woe is me". There is a difference between knowing when to ask for help and crying until someone takes over. That's not to say there can't be a few times when the heroine is knocked down and cries, but have her stand back up. Give her a back bone. I love when authors can show us both the strong and vulnerable side of a heroine without making her "wimpy".

The following pictures are for female character inspiration that show the many facets of a women. And remember when creating the best heroines...don't make them flawless...make them real!
